So, as an adult, I have discovered a large world of Trixie Belden I never knew existed and revisited a cherished old friend. AND I was relieved to find that my passion was not unusual. In fact, there have been papers presented at conferences, journal articles and even a book written about why Trixie had a unique appeal to her readers. One of my fellow Trixieholics just happens to be an editor at Random House Publishing and when they acquired the rights to the series, she convinced them to republish the books. To date, numbers 1-4 have been reissued. Sales have been so good, they're on a fourth printing and recently announced that books #1-15 all will be reprinted. Hopefully, a new generation of young readers may learn to love Trixie too. | ||||
