Not Trixie. Trixie wasn't perfect. She complained when her mother made her do chores, was teased incessantly by her brothers, and often spoke without thinking. Trixie wasn't beautiful, she struggled in school, and she occasionally jumped to the wrong conclusions during her investigations. But, in the end Trixie always solved the mystery.

While Trixie Belden may be the title character, the series includes a circle of friends who form a club called the BobWhites of the Glen. Other than Trixie herself, the ensemble of strongly-developed characters of varying ages may be one of the strongest assets of the books, something Nancy Drew lacked.
